About
Neiman Marcus
While
Neiman Marcus likes to tout itself as
one of the nation's most respectable
department stores, nothing could be
further from the truth. In fact, Neiman
Marcus knowingly contributes to the
suffering and death of millions of animals
every year. By continuing to sell fur
products while thousands of other retailers
choose not to, Neiman Marcus supports
a morally bankrupt and inherently violent
industry.
Why
Neiman Marcus?
While many stores have recognized the
inherent cruelty of the fur industry and
stopped selling fur, Neiman Marcus continues
to operate 27 fur departments in the U.S.
Because of its image as a trendsetter
in the fashion world, were Neimans to
become fur-free, a crippling blow will
have been dealt to the fur industry.
The
effort it would take for Neimans to stop
selling this one product out of the thousands
it offers would be minimal. However, the
lives it would save would be countless.
Please
let Neiman Marcus know how you feel about
its support for animal cruelty. As a trend-setter
in the fashion world, Neimans has an obligation
to maintain a decent standard of business
ethics, which at the very least includes
not selling fur. Click
